February 2025 Operations.

February operations focused on critical services like water, transportation, continued mosque construction, and the establishment of a refugee camp.

February 1st & 8th: Water Distribution

Through the use of a truck, the team distributed water to people in northern Gaza, providing a lifeline in an area still lacking critical infrastructure, which has been systematically destroyed by Israeli aggressions.

February 2nd - 9th: Mosque Construction & Renovation

The team received a shipment of concrete for the construction of Al-Shuhada mosque and continued working on it throughout this period. They received calls for a historic mosque needing rebuilding and a prayer room in a school shelter, and continued work on Al-Shuhada mosque. On February 4th, they continued Al-Shuhada mosque work. On February 5th, they sent out calls regarding mosque construction in the north and began clearing land for one. On February 7th, they put out a call about a destroyed mosque in the Al-Mashahara area and discussed the need for construction, while also conducting renovations, placing carpets, and aiding in the rehabilitation of a historic mosque. On February 8th, they worked on the flooring of Al-Shuhada mosque, preparing it for concreting. By February 9th, they had placed an enclosure for the mosque using tents, creating its walls and roof. The mosque project aimed to address the lack of functional prayer spaces.

February 4th & 9th: Transportation for Medical Care

The team provided transportation for people in need of medical care.

February 8th - 14th: Refugee Camp Establishment (Sa7ten 1)

Responding to the need for reconstruction and shelter for hundreds of thousands without homes in the harsh winter, the Sa7ten team sent out a call for the utilization of land to build a refugee camp. They cleared the land from rubble and began preparing it. By February 9th, they started constructing the camp, erecting tents in the designated area to serve as shelter and temporary housing, despite a rising storm making work difficult. They continued work on the camp, which grew with people moving in and more tents being put up. By February 11th, they continued working on the first Sa7ten camp, with more people and tents arriving, and began planning for more camps across northern Gaza. On February 13th, they started constructing the camp's toilets, setting up metal stalls and digging plumbing. By February 14th, activities for the camp were concluding, with a wall being set as a parameter and toilets close to being finished, making the camp ready to host people with functioning toilets and communal kitchens.

February 10th: School Graduation Event

The team helped organize Al-Amal school's graduation and commemoration, an event involving activities for children who had studied through the crisis. Children performed songs and dances, and a clown was brought in.
