The Brutal Reality in Gaza: Direct Aid and International Betrayal
25 July, 2025
"We witness a despair in Gaza beyond human grasp. The deliberate destruction of life here reveals an intentional effort to render existence impossible for our people."

In Gaza, desperate cries for help rise constantly from every broken home and overwhelmed hospital. Recently, urgent appeals reached us from families near Abdul Aziz Al-Rantisi Hospital, a vital children's center. They described a reality where basic necessities for children were not just scarce, but non-existent. These pleas, conveyed through the few remaining channels, painted a stark picture of children suffering from severe malnutrition and lacking even fundamental hygiene items.
Responding immediately on July 21, 2025, Sa7ten provided critical support. Our teams, working closely with the dedicated medical staff at Al-Rantisi Hospital, identified the most vulnerable children battling malnutrition and other serious health conditions.
Knowing the varied and specific needs of each child, and given the unpredictable availability of items in the besieged territory, we decided to distribute direct cash assistance. This method allows families to buy precisely what their children need—be it essential vitamins, specific medicines, specialized formula, or diapers. It bypasses the logistical chaos of supplying goods in a constantly disrupted environment, returning dignity and choice to those who best understand their children's needs.
“The lack of basic necessities is absolute. Even if we could provide things like baby formula or diapers, we wouldn’t know exactly what each child needs. That’s why we decided on cash distribution; it allows people to buy what’s suitable and urgently needed for their child.”
“We saw the images on television and social media – the profound suffering, especially of children. It broke our hearts. Our work springs from the sheer oppression people are enduring, from disasters a human mind cannot bear. This initiative’s success, despite deeply private circumstances, shows the immense need and direct impact of our efforts. This is about acknowledging the crisis’s brutality and providing a beacon of hope when the world seems to ignore our plight.”
Beyond hospital aid, Sa7ten continues to address the critical water crisis. We delivered drinking water across four neighbourhoods. Our trucks, each carrying 7,000 litters, have supplied water to:
Al-Lahum City
Palestine Stadium area
Al-Nasr - Al-Buraq School
Al-Azhar - Al-Katiba Square
Destroyed infrastructure and lack of fuel for pumping systems mean clean water is nearly impossible to find for many of our people.
The suffering in Gaza meets an appalling silence from the international community. This is deep-seated racist prejudice, evident in how politicians and officials in the Global North view struggles in the Global South. Their complicity with the Zionist state, their falsehoods, and their deliberate inaction are not oversights; they are active participation in the ongoing tragedy.

Our people have faced unimaginable hardship. They have endured systematic brutality and the deliberate denial of basic human rights. Yet, through it all, their will to exist, to resist, and to reclaim dignity remains strong. They know this reality better than anyone, living it daily. They will achieve victory against this settler-colonial project. We need not wait for that day to stand in unwavering solidarity with them. Their steadfastness proves the unbreakable human spirit, a spirit demanding recognition and justice, not pity or empty gestures.
