77,000 Liters of Water Delivered Across Gaza Despite Siege, Fuel Blockade

8 August 2025

Sa7ten field teams have delivered over 77,000 liters of clean water to communities across Gaza between 30 July and 5 August, despite a total fuel blockade, banking paralysis, and deliberate obstruction of basic life-sustaining aid.

Across 11 truckloads, water was distributed to critical areas in Gaza City including Tal al-Hawa, Al-Tuffah, Al-Shati Camp, and Al-Kateeba. These neighborhoods have endured weeks without access to clean water,  an engineered scarcity imposed by the zionist siege.

These names: Tal al-Hawa, Azhar, Tuffah, are not dots on a map. They are homes. People. We had to get the water there.

- Abu Salah, Field Coordinator, Sa7ten

The genocide in Gaza has destroyed all normal infrastructure. Water stations are shut down. Diesel has not entered in weeks. Even with working wells, water cannot be extracted without fuel. The cost of water per cubic meter surged from ₪250 to over ₪320 due to scarcity. Sa7ten was able to secure water at ₪290/m³, barely manageable under the circumstances.

Every action we take is a fight against engineered deprivation. This is not a crisis, it’s a system of punishment.

- Ahmad,Operations Director, Sa7ten

This delivery was made possible through coordination with local stations still barely operating. But Sa7ten emphasizes: relief efforts alone are not enough. People do not need charity. They need access. They need justice.

Sa7ten demands the following:

  • Immediate, unrestricted entry of fuel, water, and food into Gaza.

  • An end to the zionist siege architecture, including COGAT restrictions.

  • Accountability from governments enabling genocide through arms, votes, and silence.

We remind international agencies: procedures are not protection. Naming the system that starves our people is the first step toward breaking it.
